As moss grows it lifts up the shingle or tiles, creating a gap which allows air and moisture in. This moisture will begin to rot the structure of your roof. The lifted tiles also creates a place for the wind to catch, potentially taking them right off the roof, reducing the insulating quality and depositing leaves and debris in the cracks which feeds the moss.

It is a cycle that can significantly reduce the lifespan of your roof and affect the rest of your property.
